Keep customer accounts, earlier dues and payments received together. Understand who owes you money and how much.

See who owes you money, and how much.

Keep dues from your notebook and today's bills with the same customer. Record money received in that customer's account.

## Follow these 3 simple steps

### Add each customer once

Enter their name and identification details. If the customer already exists, open their account instead of adding another name.

### Add earlier dues from your notebook

Check the amount against your old register before entering it. This is an earlier balance, not a new sale today.

### Record a payment when money arrives

Choose the customer, enter the amount and payment method. Check the remaining balance with the customer.

## Earlier dues + new bill dues − payment received

- Earlier notebook dues: ₹3,000
- Due on the new bill: ₹2,200
- Total dues so far: ₹5,200
- Payment received later: ₹2,000
- Amount still to collect: ₹3,200

Adding earlier dues is not a new sale. A promise to pay is also different from a payment actually received.

- Have you added the same customer twice?
- Have you checked earlier dues against your notebook?
- Are the payment amount and method correct?
## Your questions

### Can I enter all earlier dues first?

Yes. Add your customers and enter their earlier dues. Select these same customers when making new bills.

### Does a promise to pay reduce the dues?

No. A promise is a reminder. Dues reduce only when a payment is recorded.

### What if I cannot find a customer's name?

Check the spelling and search first. Add a new customer only if they are not already registered, so the account does not get split.

## Need to remind a customer about dues?

Check the balance and the customer’s permission. Krishi Udhar prepares the message; you press Send in WhatsApp yourself. Record payment separately when money arrives.
