# How to follow up on dues and record a payment promise | Krishi Udhar

See who owes you money in the collection list. Record the date a customer promises to pay and keep follow-up and actual payments separate.

## Follow these steps

### Check the collection list

View customers with outstanding dues and their amounts. Choose the correct customer account for follow-up.

### Record the promised date

Enter the date the customer promised to pay and the required details.

### Record payment when money arrives

Review the account on the agreed date. Record money received separately only after the customer has paid.

## Keep in mind

Recording a payment promise does not settle dues. Record the customer’s actual payment separately.
